eBUS Adapter license option

The eBUS Adapter license option allows using an integrated "micro-ebusd" running directly on one of the supported boards, i.e. eBUS Adapter Stick C6, eBUS Adapter Shield C6, as well as the original eBUS Adapter Shield v5.

This way, a separate ebusd instance running on an external host is no longer needed and the device performs the message decoding and encoding itself.

Note that this is only the license option. It does not include any hardware (see links above for those).

As of today, micro-ebusd comes with the following features:

• decoding of eBUS messages to JSON on MQTT
• encoding of values in JSON from MQTT to eBUS messages
• use integrated message definitions as of https://ebus.github.io/
• scan bus participants and pick the appropriate message definitions
• log received messages
• send hex messages from REPL
• configurable source address
• configurable to act as eBUS SYN generator
• configurable baudrate deviation and arbitration delay
• configurable MQTT server (including TLS options) and topic

The next features on the roadmap are these (already in progress):

• support for Home Assistant MQTT discovery
• adjustable automatic message polling

Depending on the number of purchased license units, one of the following can be assigned to a device directly from the web interface after the purchase is completed:

• 1 unit: micro-ebusd for a single device without updates
• 2 units: micro-ebusd for a single device plus 1 year of updates
• 4 units: micro-ebusd for a single device plus 4 years of updates ("pay 4 get 5" / save 20%)
• 7 units: micro-ebusd for a single device plus all updates forever ("pay 7 get 10" / save 30%)
• 15 units: micro-ebusd for up to 5 devices plus 4 years of updates ("pay 15 get 25" / save 40%)
• 25 units: micro-ebusd for up to 5 devices plus all updates forever ("pay 25 get 50" / save 50%)

For upgrading an already assigned micro-ebusd license, one of the following can be added:

• 1 unit: 1 year of updates for a single device
• 3 units: 4 years of updates for a single device ("pay 3 get 4" / save 25%)
• 6 units: forever updates for a single device ("pay 6 get 9" / save 33%)

So basically the amount of purchased license units can later be assigned to your device(s). Of course you can also support development by purchasing more units than you actually need.

Please note that there is no way to refund any license unit once the purchase is completed.

For authentication, a privacy-safe combination of purchase data is used by the device when assigning a license option to it ("hash"). Refer to the documentation on details how to do perform the assignment.

In order to assign a license option to a device, the device needs to have internet access - at least temporarily during the procedure. Later on this is not necessary any more (unless you want to assign further options or perform an upgrade).
