What is Crowbits-Electromagnet?

Crowbits-Electromagnet is a digital output module, it is a type of magnet in which the magnetic field is produced by an electric current. Equipped with this feature, you can make a mini device for picking up and moving magnetic material.

How does it work?

The main part of the electromagnet module is an electromagnet chuck, the electromagnet chuck usually consists of wire wound into a coil.

1. When powering for the electromagnet, there will be current flows through the electromagnet chuck, then the magnetic field will be produced.

2. When there is no power, there are no current flows through the electromagnet, there won’t be a magnetic field.

Tips

The electromagnetic is a high power consumption module, therefore, please don’t merge other output Crowbit modules while using it.
