What is the Crowbits-MOSFET?
The Crowbits-MOSFET is a digital output module, it’s a kind of switch that enables you to control large current with small current. It could be an easy and effective way to control the motor with the MOSFET.
How does it work?
The main component of the MOSFET module is an PMOSFET, which has a very low on-resistance and a control voltage that is compatible with most 3.3V microcontrollers. The MOSFET is a kind of switch that allows you to control high-power devices with low-power to control mechanisms. The PMOSFET has four terminals, respectively are the ce (S), gate (G), drain (D) and body (B) terminals, the G terminal controls the switch’s on and off.
1. When applying a logic high-level signal to the MOSFET module, the G terminal will be activated, the switch will turn on, it outputs a logic high-level signal to activate the output device.
1. Otherwise, when there is no logic high-level signal applied, the MOSFET will output a logic low signal, which means the MOSFET is off as a switch.
There are four screw terminals on the MOSFET module, “S_IN” means input port, “D_OUT” means output port, “GND” means ground port. When using the module to control a device, the device should be connected between the “D_OUT” and “GND” port, and add an input voltage between “S_IN” and another “GND” port.
Be careful when using the MOSFET to control a high-power (current) device.
