What is Crowbits-Water Sensor?

Crowbits-Water Sensor is a digital input module, it is sensitive to the water, which can be used to detect the presence of water.

You can use the water sensor to detect a leak in your home or maybe detect if it’s conductive liquid. There are many use cases for the water sensors and it can be connected to multiple modules for a different type of actions.

How does it work?

The water sensor is made up of a series of exposed traces, these adjacent parallel traces are respectively connected with GND (ground) and the sensor signals. The water sensor works on the principle of liquid conductivity, the water is one of the conductive liquid, the adjacent parallel traces are in a conduction state when it detects water, then, it will let the current go through it.

1. When the water sensor detects water or other conductive liquids, it will output a logic high-level signal.

1. When using, please dip a little water in the center of the water sensor module.

2. The water sensor module is not waterproof, please don’t immerse it in water.
