This adapter converts an HDMI-compatible male connector on your existing cable to a DVI male connector. It has the function of bridging between DVI and HDMI-compatible. If you have a male connector on your HDMI-compatible cable, you can plug it into the female HDMI-compatible connector on this adapter and the cable will then have a male DVI connector on the end.
