Hexapod Primal Surface Mount Protoboard

Hexapod Primal protoboards are designed for direct surface mount prototyping. The pads have a pitch of 50 x 50 mil (1.27 x 1.27 mm), which works well for components using SOIC, SOT-32, TO-252, 0603 and 1206 footprints.

Primal boards have a checkered ground plane on the back side. The round pads on the front side connect through to the back side where they can be selectively attached to the ground plane with a small blob of solder. Primal boards are good for RF and other higher frequency circuits like buck/boost power converters running at a high switching rate.

Primal boards come in two sizes:

• primal SA (bAse) is 30 x 70 x 1.6mm
• primal SW (Wide) is 40 x 70 x 1.6mm

All boards have ENIG (gold flashed) surface finish and use a matte-green solder mask to reduce glare when working under bright lighting.
