Most DIY projects stay on the workbench because they look like science experiments. The OG DIY Smartwatch is the result of a nine-month engineering journey to prove that 'DIY' can mean 'Daily Driver.' After seven mechanical revisions to master SLA resin tolerances and light-bleed, I’ve transformed a bare ESP32-C3 circuit into a sleek, open-source wearable. It features a 350-nit IPS display, custom LVGL-based OS, and phone-synced navigation—all built for a fraction of the cost of a retail watch. We built it cheap, but we wear it proud.
