What is Wi-Fi HaLow?
Wi-Fi HaLow serves as a specialized wireless protocol designed specifically for Internet of Things (IoT) use cases. Functioning below the 1 GHz frequency band, this technology surpasses conventional Wi-Fi in its ability to transmit over greater distances and through barriers more effectively. Its low-power design with efficient sleep and wake mechanisms extends battery life, while supporting high device density and stable connections in crowded environments, solving congestion issues of traditional Wi-Fi.
This is a WiFi HaLow wireless module based on the IEEE 802.11ah standard. Operating in the Sub-1GHz band (850-950 MHz), it's a next-generation wireless connectivity module designed specifically for the IoT era, offering long range, low power consumption, and high penetration.
It boasts superior RF performance, with a transmission distance of up to 1km and ideal data rates of up to 32.5Mbps, as well as excellent penetration capabilities for stable coverage in complex environments.
The module features a compact design and abundant pins for easy and rapid integration into various PCBs. Its power consumption is deeply optimized, making it ideal for battery-powered or power-sensitive IoT devices.
Furthermore, this module can be used with CrowPanel Advanced series displays to easily build integrated human-machine interface (HMI) solutions with long-range wireless communication capabilities, making it ideal for smart home, industrial sensing, and outdoor IoT applications.
