16-channel wireless EEG + Arduino starter kit: control real electronics with your brain, programmed with blocks in the browser.
Octopus 16 EEG board (ESP32 board included) + OctoBio software and firmware. Read brain rhythms, drive real electronics, and program everything with blocks in the browser.
Works with the Elecrow All-in-One Starter Kit for Arduino (SEA0004T) Included!
OctoBio brings biology, electronics, and programming into one classroom experiment. The Octopus 16 reads brain activity through 16 dry pogo-pin electrodes and streams it over Bluetooth. Pair it with the Elecrow All-in-One Starter Kit for Arduino, which senses the room and acts on it with a servo, LEDs, relay, buzzer, and LCD screen. Students connect the two with drag-and-drop blocks that run live in Chrome or Edge. There is nothing to install and no code to compile. The kit gets the OctoBio firmware once, flashed directly from the browser in a few clicks.
Close your eyes and alpha waves switch on a light. Concentrate, and the servo turns into a focus meter. Walk into the room and the screen changes. Every lesson is one condition and one action, so students see cause and effect straight away. Five block levels (Story, Words, Bands, Measure, Raw) let the same setup work from primary school to university.
| Subject | Topics |
|---|---|
| Biology | Brain rhythms (delta, theta, alpha, beta, gamma), why alpha rises with eyes closed, artifacts from blinks and jaw clenches |
| Electronics | Sensors and actuators, analog vs digital, I2C, serial communication, units and ranges |
| Programming | If / else, loops, thresholds, mapping one range onto another, combining two signals |
These lessons use the Octopus 16 together with the Elecrow Starter Kit.

The OctoBio kit is not a medical device and has not been certified by any government regulatory agency for use with the human body. Focus and relax values are uncalibrated learning indicators and must never be used for diagnosis. Wear the Octopus 16 on battery power only, never while it is plugged into a computer. Do not connect the relay to mains voltage.
