eBUS Adapter Shield C5

eBUS Adapter Shield C5 provides an interface to a 2-wire eBUS with galvanic isolation and thus enables communication with an eBUS enabled heating, ventilation or solar system.

It is the newest model of the family, an optimized version of the previous adapter v5-C6 and adapter v5, and the continuation of previous designs with a smaller footprint (29x29mm), pluggable eBUS connection, on-board WIFI by using an ESP32-C5, support for different Ethernet modules, and many more features.

The first version v5 of this interface was born to life early 2023 after several rounds of prototyping and is already in use by thousands of people. Since then, multiple design optimizations were performed including an eFuse for over voltage+current protection, USB-C connection starting with the C6 version, and use of a buck converter since this version.

Important note: An order for this item is only eligible for refund when the device is proven to be defective in hardware and this explicitly excludes all cases where the connected heating system does not have an eBUS at all or does not match the eBUS specification, any issue with the firmware including integrations built on top of it, as well as any eBUS message decoding or encoding issue.
