An unusual PCB, made as a front panel for an R2R DAC. The PCB slides into a 3D-printed enclosure. I chose the ENIG finish for aesthetic reasons and to achieve gold lettering.
I am very satisfied with the result, especially with the quality of the black solder mask. It is glossy, very deep black, and looks aesthetically pleasing — in my opinion, better than what I have seen from some competitors. I understand that this is not a guaranteed parameter and may change in the future.
The ENIG gold finish looks very good, and the PCB fully met my expectations in this unusual application. As a big bonus, all the labels and markings are already included on the panel, which is typically a significant challenge when making custom enclosures.
