Modchip to get Composite AV from your Atari 2600 Junior
This is an easy to install mod PCB that solders on to the back of an Atari 2600 Junior PCB, providing AV out instead of RF that is usually found on 2600s.
Please check out the Github repo for more details!
This mod is compatible with PAL as well as NTSC systems. Compatibility is ensured by 2 jumpers that have to be set according to your system.
The mod will NOT work on the Rev. D board as it is mechanically different. Please open up your console before buying the mod and check that the board visually looks the same as the pictures in the tutorial.
Hooking up RF consoles on modern TVs isn't really a thing anymore, but AV is still fairly wide spread so this is an easy method to relive old games in better quality than you remember.
While there are PCB-less solutions already they are a bit tedious to install. This one just needs to be lined up correctly and have 7 holes filled with solder - connect the pads to an AV jack - that's it.
