Cap EEG Kit, 8 Channels with Wet Electrodes: Research-Grade EEG Signal Quality
A ready-to-wear EEG cap with 8 Ag/AgCl wet electrodes and 2 ear-clip electrodes, pre-placed on the international 10-20 system. With a little conductive gel, wet electrodes give the lowest impedance and the cleanest, most stable EEG signal, the choice for research and demanding experiments. Plug the cables into your PiEEG device and record.
Why this kit?
Best signal quality. Ag/AgCl electrodes with conductive gel give low impedance and low noise, well known as the standard for high-quality EEG.
Stable for long sessions. Gel keeps the contact steady through hair and small movements, so the signal stays clean over long recordings.
Plug and play. Every electrode ends in a standard 2.54 mm connector that fits PiEEG boards directly.
Correct positions out of the box. 8 electrodes fixed at 10-20 positions covering the front, centre, sides and back of the head.
Complete kit. Cap, 8 signal electrodes and both ear clips (reference and bias), all in one box.
Put on the cap so the Fp1 and Fp2 electrodes sit on the forehead, just above the eyebrows, and the cap is centred on the head.
Apply conductive EEG gel to each electrode so it makes contact with the scalp through the hair.
Clip the two ear electrodes onto clean earlobes.
Plug the 8 electrode cables into channels 1 to 8 of your PiEEG device, and the ear clips into the reference and bias inputs. Note which position goes to which channel.
Power the device from a battery and start the software.
Check the signal: blink a few times (big spikes on Fp1 and Fp2), then close your eyes for 10 seconds (alpha rhythm rises on O1 and O2).
