Why did you make it?
I wanted to try out this new Vangotech ASIC with UART comms and develop Arduino drivers for it.
What makes it special?
Accurate and documented energy monitor ASIC with Arduino driver. Relatively low cost since it is from a Chinese vendor. Work has gone into translating and interpreting the datasheet and sample codes and capturing that into a well structured Arduino driver.
