IoTsmart ESP32-S3: IoT Controller

IoTsmart ESP32-S3 is a high-performance computing module built on the Espressif ESP32-S3 SoC, specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with the IoTextra series of expansion boards (mezzanines). This module acts as the "brain", upgrading standard mezzanines into intelligent, programmable standalone devices for industrial automation, smart home solutions, and edge logic.

• Powerful Processing: Features the Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor (up to 240 MHz) with 512KB SRAM and 384KB ROM.

• Enhanced Memory: Equipped with onboard 2MB PSRAM and 4MB Flash memory to handle demanding applications.

• Robust Wireless Suite: Integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth® 5 (LE) for versatile communication.

• Optimized Form Factor: The version 2.01 features a compact 47x30 mm footprint for better mechanical compatibility with IoTextra mezzanines.

• EYESPI Interface (Optional): Includes a standardized 18-pin FPC connector for plug-and-play support of various LCD and E-Ink displays.

• Dual Qwiic® Connectors: Two onboard connectors allow for easy daisy-chaining of I²C sensors and peripherals without additional hubs.

• Persistent Storage: An onboard EEPROM (8 Kbit) stores configuration and user data, accessible via I²C at addresses 0x54-0x57

Flexible Installation

The module offers two orientations for the HOST connector to suit your project's physical layout:

• H-HOST (Horizontal): Mounted on the top-side for vertical mezzanine installation.

• V-HOST (Vertical): Mounted on the bottom-side for horizontal mezzanine installation.

Software Ecosystem

The IoTsmart ESP32-S3 offers native support for popular IoT platforms and libraries:

• IoTflow and Node-RED.

• Tasmota, ESPHome, and Blynk.

• LVGL for high-performance graphics via the EYESPI interface.
