Stainless Steel Storage Tank – 10 m³

This project presents the design and concept of a 10 cubic meter stainless steel storage tank made from grade 304L, intended for industrial and smart fluid management applications. The tank has been carefully designed to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and suitability for integration with IoT monitoring systems. The tank structure includes a main cylindrical shell (virole), two dished heads (fonds), support cradles (berceaux), a lid (couvercle), a valve (vanne), and a custom nozzle (piquage) for input/output. It is designed to withstand varying fluid pressures and can be used in a variety of industries such as food processing, water treatment, chemical manufacturing, and agricultural storage. The CAD model has been developed using SolidWorks, employing sheet metal features and realistic welding simulations.

???? About Me

My name is Ahmed Lablighi, and I am a state engineering student in my 4th year, majoring in Mechatronics and Manufacturing Engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technologies. I’m passionate about combining mechanical systems with embedded electronics and intelligent software to solve real-world problems.

I’ve developed several projects involving robotics, automation, CAD design, and sensor integration — including line-following robots, smart agricultural tools, and Arduino-based systems. I also have experience in control systems, IoT communication protocols, and data acquisition.

This tank project was initially developed during a professional internship at a mechanical manufacturing company. It allowed me to learn and apply real industrial practices, from the design phase to the fabrication process planning.
